Ryan P. Downes

Attorney

Ryan is a strong advocate committed to exceeding his clients’ expectations. Ryan balances zealous legal representation with sound business acumen. Ryan represents clients of all types in litigation involving shareholder disputes, breach of contract, employment, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, trust disputes, and other business torts. Ryan’s diligence in all facets of litigation–including discovery, motion practice, negotiation, arbitration, and trial–enable him to deliver positive outcomes for clients. Ryan’s easy-to-talk-to demeanor not only makes his clients feel comfortable but enables judges and juries to quickly gain a sense of trust.

During law school, Ryan was a competitor on the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. This experience allowed him to sharpen his oral advocacy skills and argue cases against teams at the international level. In addition, Ryan served as a certified student attorney for the Criminal and Juvenile Defense Clinic—invaluable experience that enabled him to manage his own caseload from start to finish. Ryan was awarded the Dean’s award (denoting the highest overall grade in the course) in Torts, Client Interviewing & Counseling, and Professional Responsibility.
