Anthony Ostlund is pleased to announce that our former law clerk, Alex O’Connor, is returning to the firm as an associate after serving as a judicial law clerk for the past two years to the Honorable Timothy M. Reif of the U.S. Court of International Trade. Alex assisted Judge Reif in resolving disputes arising out of decisions of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and U.S. Customs & Border Protection. In addition, Alex assisted Judge Reif in presiding over civil and criminal matters in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York, the Western District of North Carolina, and the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
“We are thrilled to have Alex back at the firm,” noted CEO Janel Dressen. “The experience he gained in his clerkship will be especially helpful for his practice here. Alex is a great addition to the firm!”
Alex initially joined the firm during law school as a summer associate in 2022 before working as a semester law clerk during the 2022-2023 academic year. Alex also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Susan Richard Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and completed an internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan.
